There is nothing I love more than elopements. There is something so magical and so intimate when all the stress of the big traditional wedding is gone, and it is just you two, husband and wife, becoming one. Picking a location that is special to you and saying your vows to each other, is beautiful to me. Gisselle and Andre decided this was what they wanted. When working with my clients as their wedding photographer, I want to make sure we pick the perfect location. I work with them to scout locations and find the best spot for their elopement. We chose Los Vaqueros for the fantastic views, amazing sunsets and what it is known for- the wind.
Elopement at Los Vaqueros
Giselle wore a bohemian style dress, which flowed beautifully in the wind. If you are a bride looking for a gown with movement, choose one with a chiffon skirt! Giselle’s had a chiffon skirt and made for the most beautiful wind pictures. Before saying I Do, they each wrote their own vows and letters to one another, which I got to photograph. After exchanging letters, they danced together and embraced in the wind. After, we hiked up the hills to enjoy even more gorgeous views. We walked down to the reservoir, for a water backdrop. As the sun set behind us, we were able to capture some beautiful moments. If you are a bride looking for less stress, more laid back and carefree type of wedding, elopements are the way to go! There is no stress of choosing who to invite or feeling nervous getting in front of a crowd. It is just the two of you, being together.
